Temporary Closure of The Berkeley Institute – Monday, April 28, 2025 The Department of Education advises that The Berkeley Institute has been closed today, Monday, April 28, 2025, due to an unexpected facilities issue.
Late yesterday evening, school officials were informed that the school's potable water system is not functioning. Despite efforts by the maintenance team to resolve the issue, repairs were not completed in time to safely open the building. As a result, the decision was made to close the school for the day to ensure the health and safety of all students and staff.
The Berkeley Institute has shifted to remote learning for the day.
Teachers will send assignments via email and will arrange Zoom sessions with students as necessary. A school-wide Zoom assembly for all staff and students took place at 8:45 a.m. to outline expectations and provide further guidance.
