Recently, the Minister of Health, The Hon. Kim Wilson rolled up her sleeve to give blood.
“This simple and brief act took 6 minutes, 53 seconds and has the potential to make a life-changing difference for someone in need. Every drop counts. Giving blood is one of the quickest, easiest, and most powerful ways we can help others,” the Minister said. “I encourage everyone who is eligible to take a few minutes out of their day to donate. You could be the reason someone gets a second chance.”
Blood donations are urgently needed year-round to ensure hospitals have the supplies necessary for patients undergoing surgery, cancer treatment, trauma care, and more.
