The Ministry of National Security is reminding the public that the final Public Information Session highlighting career opportunities in Bermuda’s five uniformed services will take place this Tuesday evening, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at Francis Patton Primary School, located at 191 North Shore Road, Hamilton Parish.
This is the third and final opportunity for residents to hear first-hand about the rewarding career paths available within the Bermuda Police Service, the Customs Department, the Royal Bermuda Regiment, the Bermuda Fire & Rescue Service, and the Department of Corrections.
The Minister of National Security, the Hon. Michael Weeks, JP, MP, stressed the importance of attending the session, especially for young Bermudians.
"We are calling on young people – particularly those about to graduate from secondary school or who have recently returned from university – to consider a future in the uniformed services seriously," said Minister Weeks.
"Many young Bermudians may not be fully aware of the incredible opportunities in these sectors. This session is a final, crucial chance to learn more, ask questions, and take that first step toward a meaningful and impactful career."
Minister Weeks continued, "Each of these services plays a vital role in the safety and well-being of our community. We need the next generation of dedicated, passionate, and committed individuals to step up and serve.
“If you are looking for a career that offers purpose, stability, and the chance to make a real difference, then I strongly encourage you to come out on Tuesday evening."
As part of its broader campaign to encourage Bermudians to join the uniformed services, the Ministry urges interested individuals to attend the session, meet with service representatives, and explore the possibilities available.
